Introduction

We refurbished 393 bedrooms, spanning over 339,000 sq ft, and updated external areas at the iconic Kempinski Mall of the Emirates.

The project

This project was logistically challenging as the hotel remained fully operational during works. We implemented a sequenced build approach to minimise disruption to the day to day running of the hotel.

As the oldest luxury hotel collection in the world, the Kempinski name is associated with the highest standards of accommodation and impeccable customer service.

Our client wanted to refit all hotel bathrooms and carry out individual makeovers to the bedrooms. We transformed guest rooms, suites and ski chalets; as well as updating hospitality and leisure spaces. We carried out a complete refurbishment of the external facades, including installing a brand-new external lighting design. We also created a new outdoor terrace adorned with olive trees and an impressive water feature, turning it into a new dining and bar destination.

The Kempinski Mall of the Emirates refurbishment project was delivered over two phases and completed in late 2015.
